KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board has started proceedings to legalise the position of Advisor on cricket affairs by advertising the post on Saturday.

The post has been advertised after the PCB brought in former test captain and fast bowler, Waqar Younis on the position last week.

“It is a constitutional requirement to advertise contractual senior paid positions and this happens everywhere in the corporate world it is nothing unusual,” a board official explained.

He said Waqar had been identified for the post and he had already started working and he has applied for the position as per PEMRA and constitutional requirements.
