Kirmani from Karachi has asked: Should the PCB be awarding central contracts to so many players many of whom are not even consistent performers and just enjoy the monthly retainers?

A: The PCB in fact is considering reducing number of players to 20 who will get contracts and they all have to meet criteria of fitness, performances and their disciplinary record would also be tracked regularly and they will also undergo fitness tests regularly.
