NO DISCIPLINARY ACTION AGAINST PLAYERS

KARACHI: The Pakistan Cricket Board has decided on the advise of its foreign head coaches to avoid taking any disciplinary action against any player (s) and allow them to focus on the coming packed international home and away season.

A well-placed source in the board said on Saturday that initially there was talk about having a disciplinary committee look into the cases of some players misbehaving during the tours of Ireland and England and in the World T20 Cup.

“But until now no disciplinary committee has been formed as per the board constitution,” he disclosed.

He said as per the constitution the Chairman has to appoint independent disciplinary/probe committees if he wants some issues of discipline to be looked into.
